Monochrome meets Color

The concept is inspired on a drawing done 3 years ago: Artblock. Funny enough, also done in June. I wanted to draw something before my birthday, which is today, that reflects my past before I start a new age.
During those 3 years I had many struggles and doubts about my work. I received many comments on this: Draw Again Meme 2011 - 2015 about my technical improvement. When improving, it's all about change.
I would only made this far if I was unsatisfied with my work. What I post are only results, nobody knows what I had suffered mentally. I was planning to write a journal about improvement, but it takes a little courage.
Now I've put this concept down, I'm moving on and leave those doubts behind.

About this drawing, these characters are my mind. I always keep things seperated, it's either good or bad. Dark or bright, dull or colorful... I had struggles with choosing an artstyle and didn't realize I already have my own.
I like many things, so I tried to explore everything I liked. It turns out that 'jack-of-all-trades-but-master-of-none-although-better-than-one' isn't what I wanted. Just recently I accepted what I'm doing, and that makes it my style. 
Monochrome reflects my technical side and preference for dull tones. Color is my free side and love for all hues. This piece might be my first and last where I use such saturated colors, they hurts my eyes X'D

Anyway, thanks everyone for the birthday wishes! I will post a journal soon with features plus 2 events with prizes.
